Less admin, more teaching

Makevise builds AI-assisted marking and Interactive Learning Resources for colleges, training providers and employers. Designed by an engineering educator and tested in real classrooms.

Ten resources. One assessor.

Every Interactive Learning Resource here started as a fix for a real problem in engineering training, and every one runs in a web browser.

Marking that holds steady

The AI Standardised BTEC Assessor reads every submission against the Pearson grading criteria, one criterion at a time, and quotes the evidence behind each decision. Your assessor reviews and signs off.

  1. CollectSubmissions arrive from your e-portfolio, grouped by cohort and unit.
  2. CleanLocked files are opened and renamed to one standard pattern.
  3. AnonymiseNames and learner numbers become hashed tokens, encrypted at rest with AES-256.
  4. AssessPass, Merit and Distinction decisions with quoted evidence and feedback.
  5. Review and returnYour assessor signs off, and grades go to your progress tracker.

Step onto the shop floor

Smart Cell 04 is a full robot, CNC and machine vision cell running live in the browser. Learners run the shift as engineer, read the digital twin and make the calls.

Engineer it, then race it

Apex Academy F1 puts learners in the garage of the MV-26, a full Formula 1 car in 3D. They choose materials, set up the car and diagnose faults, then race to see what their decisions did.

Strip a turbofan, bay by bay

TURBOFAN 4.0 Engine Shop opens up a wide-body turbofan in 3D. Learners strip, inspect and rebuild it bay by bay, read the digital twin and finish with a knowledge check and a certificate.

    Built for your IT review

    • Names and learner numbers replaced with hashed tokens before any AI step
    • Files encrypted at rest with AES-256
    • Every action written to an audit log
    • A written security controls report shared before any pilot

    For organisations

AI your whole team can use on Monday

The same engineer who built these learning resources trains teams to use AI well and builds the workflows that take repetitive work off their desks. Practical, secure and built around how your people already work.

    Corporate AI training

Hands-on workshops for leaders and teams, run on your own documents and tasks rather than generic demos.

    • AI foundations for leaders and managers
    • Prompting and everyday productivity in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and ChatGPT
    • Safe use: data protection, accuracy checks and an AI use policy
    • Half-day, full-day or a short programme, on site or online

    AI workflow solutions

We map one process that eats your team's time, then design and build an AI workflow that does the repetitive part.

    • Document review, reporting and data entry automation
    • Custom AI assistants trained on your own guidance
    • Connected to the tools you already use
    • Personal data protected, every step logged, people sign off

    Common questions

    Where does learner data go?

Names and learner numbers are replaced with hashed tokens before any AI step, files are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and every action is logged. We share our security controls report with your IT and data protection team before a pilot begins.

    Does it replace our assessors?

No. It drafts a decision for each criterion with the evidence quoted, and a qualified assessor reviews, changes and signs off every grade.

    What do the resources cover?

Materials and testing, maintenance and fault diagnosis, sustainability, Industry 4.0, aerospace and motorsport engineering. Each resource is mapped to your own curriculum, apprenticeship standard or training outcomes, and the Assessor is configured to your grading criteria. Tell us what you deliver and we confirm the fit before a pilot.

    Do the resources need installing?

No. Every Interactive Learning Resource runs in a web browser on PCs, laptops and classroom screens, so learners can open it straight from your learning platform or LMS.

    How is it priced?

We quote for each provider based on your cohort sizes and the tools you need. Get in touch and we will put together pricing for your pilot.

    Portrait of Dr Syed Saad

    Built while marking

Dr Syed Saad founded Makevise. He is an engineering educator with a PhD in Construction Project Management who delivers BTEC Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and every Interactive Learning Resource on this page came out of his own teaching.

Marking a cohort of engineering assignments well takes days. Makevise gives that time back without losing the assessor's judgement, and gives learners hands-on resources they can use anywhere, before the workshop is free.
